Dental Assistant / Scrub Nurse – Part-Time Position

Location: Manly Village Dental, Manly

Part-Time: Mondays (9am-3pm) & Tuesdays (10am-5pm), with potential for additional days

About the Role

Manly Village Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant / Scrub Nurse to join our friendly and professional team in a well-established private practice.

This is a part-time position covering Mondays and Tuesdays, offering a combination of chair-side assisting and sterilisation duties. There is genuine scope for additional hours as the practice continues to grow, for the right person.

We're less focused on ticking experience boxes and more interested in finding someone with a great attitude - someone who's kind, hardworking, and happy to take direction and learn on the job.

Key Responsibilities

- Chair-side assisting across a range of dental procedures
- Instrument sterilisation and infection control compliance
- Providing high-quality patient care and support
- Welcoming patients and ensuring a positive experience
- Managing appointments and phone enquiries
- Assisting with invoicing, accounts, and recall systems
- Maintaining a clean and organised clinical environment

Requirements & Preferences

- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is a bonus,



but not essential - we're happy to train the right person
- A genuinely nice, friendly nature
- A strong work ethic and willingness to work hard
- Happy to take direction and follow guidance from the team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, and proactive attitude
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Experience with Exact dental software (highly regarded, not required)
- Availability for Mondays (9am-3pm) & Tuesdays (10am-5pm)
