About the Role

As the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in managing the company's financial operations, providing strategic financial guidance, and ensuring the financial health of the business. You will work closely with senior management to support business growth, improve financial performance, and maintain solid financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the day-to-day financial management of the business.

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

- Manage company cash flow, forecasting, and working capital.

- Develop and monitor project budgets and financial performance.





- Prepare management reports and provide financial analysis to support decision-making.

- Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards, taxation, and statutory requirements.

- Manage payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.

- Maintain accurate financial records and implement effective financial controls.

- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.

- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and business efficiency.

- Support the leadership team with strategic financial planning and business growth initiatives.

Essential Requirements

- Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Senior Accountant, or similar leadership finance role.

- Previous experience within the construction industry is highly desirable.

- Strong working knowledge and practical experience using MYOB accounting software.

- Demonstrated experience in cash flow management, forecasting, and financial planning.

- Excellent understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the business.

- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

- CPA or CA qualification (or working towards one) will be highly regarded.
