We have an exciting opportunity for a HSEQ Trainee/Graduate to join our team on a full time basis located in Underwood. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands on experience while developing your career in a supportive, fast pace construction and services environment.
About the Role:
As a HSEQ Graduate, you will work closely with our experienced HSEQ team to develop practical skills and industry knowledge while contributing to the delivery of safe and compliance workplaces.
Key responsibilities include:
- Applying your HSEQ knowledge and fundamentals in real world environment’s
- Assist with the review, development and implementation of HSEQ policies and procedures
- Support the HSEQ team with site inspections, safety walks and toolbox talks
- Assist the team with HSEQ inductions, training sessions and compliance monitoring activities
- Participate in HSEQ audits,
including evidence collection and corrective action follow up
- Assist with safety incident reporting
- Monitoring and tracking HSEQ compliance obligations and performance metrics
- Staying up o date with relevant WHS and environmental legislation, codes of proacts and industry trends
About you
- Have recently completed or will be completing Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or related disciplinary
- Current drivers’ licence and white card
- Understanding of or exposure to ISO management systems
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work autonomously
- High level of attention to detail and time management skills
- Use of initiative and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a team setting and independently
- Positive team player with a can-do attitude
