You’re organised, proactive and thrive in a role where no two days are the same. You have exceptional time management skills, enjoy keeping things on track and have a keen eye for detail.

Experience in inventory, supply chain or procurement would be highly regarded, but it’s not essential. We’re equally interested in candidates from Quality Assurance or other structured, process-driven environments where following systems, maintaining high standards and delivering accurate outcomes are simply the way you work.

You’re confident using technology, pick up new systems quickly and enjoy finding smarter ways to work. Most importantly, you take ownership, enjoy being part of a collaborative team and are happy to pitch in wherever needed.

If you’ve got the right attitude, strong organisational skills and the ability to learn, you’ll be given the training and support to succeed.

About the role

You’ll be the critical link between suppliers, the warehouse, and customer orders. A major focus of the role will be procurement, forecasting, and staying on top of orders to ensure customers receive their orders promptly.

You’ll work closely with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal stakeholders to monitor inventory levels, track incoming stock, and help prevent supply disruptions. You’ll oversee inventory and procurement reporting, ensuring information is accurate, timely, and actionable.

The role also involves identifying excess and slow-moving stock, managing stock expiry dates, and supporting quality assurance processes, including investigating and resolving quality issues and credit requests.

Partnering with the Warehouse Manager, you’ll help maintain accurate stock records while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

In addition to your core responsibilities, you’ll be happy to roll up your sleeves and assist where needed - whether that’s helping with operational queries, supporting the warehouse during busy periods, or contributing to broader team initiatives

About the company

Employing over 40 people, this successful Australian family-owned food distribution and packaging business has built a robust reputation for innovation, service, and long-term customer relationships.

While still considered a medium-sized business, they’re anything but standing still. They continue to experience growth, expanding their product range, partnering with new suppliers, and investing heavily in technology to support the next phase of the business. With two major systems about to go live, it’s an exciting time to join a company that’s continually evolving and committed to improving the way it operates.

The culture is supportive, collaborative, and genuinely team oriented. People share knowledge freely, help each other out, and work together to deliver the best possible experience for customers.

They’re also a social bunch who enjoy spending time together in the spacious lunchroom, sampling new products, and gathering for regular on-site lunches. Staff are recognised through a monthly rewards and recognition program, and achievements - big or small - are celebrated along the way.
