MC Civil Group is a growing civil construction company specializing in earthworks, excavation, and infrastructure projects within Western Sydney. We take pride in delivering high-quality results across a range of industries, including commercial, residential, and government sectors.

We are looking for an experienced Civil/Earthworks Estimator to join our team, If you have an eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a passion for the civil construction industry, we’d love to hear from you!

You will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for earthworks projects, ensuring competitive pricing and efficient project execution. You will liaise with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to develop detailed estimates that align with requirements and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and site conditions to develop precise cost estimates.
- Perform quantity take-offs for excavation, grading, site preparation, and related earthworks activities.
- Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost competitiveness.
- Identify potential project risks and incorporate contingencies into estimates.
- Assist in the preparation of tenders, proposals,



and contract negotiations.
- Maintain and update cost databases, ensuring accurate pricing and market trends.
- Support post-tender negotiations and cost tracking to enhance project profitability.
- Able to provide clients with project timelines / schedule for project completion.

What We’re Looking For

- Experience in specifically civil earthworks estimating 1-2 years minimum.
- Strong understanding of excavation, grading, bulk earthworks, and site preparation.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong negotiation and communication abilities to liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Seek and engage current clients, contracts and suppliers.
- Strong communication skills in both written and verbal form
- Sound computer literacy
- Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
