The Senior Product/Packaging Technologist Lead is responsible for leading the development and execution of the New Product Development (NPD), Innovation and Customer-Specific Print strategy. This role will identify market opportunities, develop innovative product solutions, Lead customer print projects and drive new product commercialisation from concept through to market launch. Working across Sales, Marketing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality and key suppliers, this role will ensure innovation activities support the company's growth, profitability and customer value objectives.

This role will establish and lead the newly created NPD & Innovation team and become the central point of accountability for all NPD, innovation and customer-specific print activities.

About the Role

Innovation Strategy & Portfolio Lead:Develop and deliver the company's innovation strategy by lead the NPD pipeline, evaluating growth opportunities, and presenting commercially viable innovation initiatives to senior leadership.

New Product Development:Lead end-to-end NPD delivery by driving stage-gate governance, cross-functional execution, and compliant product launches on time and within budget.

Customer Specific Print Lead:Lead customer-specific print projects by managing artwork, approvals, stakeholder coordination,



and streamlined governance processes to ensure quality, compliance, and timely delivery.

Commercial & Customer Collaboration:Partner with Sales to deliver customer-focused innovation solutions that drive growth, retention, and new business opportunities.

Supplier & External Partner Lead:Build and lead strategic supplier partnerships to deliver cutting-edge, cost-effective product and packaging solutions.

Sustainability & Continuous Improvement:Drive sustainable innovation and continuous improvement across NPD, governance, and product development processes.

Team Leadership:Lead and develop the NPD & Innovation team by fostering a high-performance culture through coaching, accountability, and commercial focus.

About You

5+ years' experience in Product Development, Innovation, Category Lead

Proven experience leading cross-functional projects

Strong commercial, analytical and project leadership capability

Experience leading customer-facing innovation programs

Strong stakeholder and presentation skills

Experience within Foodservice, Packaging, Hospitality, FMCG or Disposable Products industries (preferred)

Experience with printed packaging and custom branding projects (preferred)

Formal qualifications in Business, Marketing, Product Development, Tech Engineering or related discipline (preferred)
