Food Production Team Member – Maxwell’s Treats

Gerringong | 30–38 hours per week | Monday to Friday

We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking person to join our small, friendly production team.

This is a practical, hands-on role involving both food preparation and production-line work. Your day may include weighing ingredients, assisting with cooking, filling and capping bottles and jars, labelling, boxing finished products and preparing orders for dispatch. Some tasks are repetitive, and you’ll be working around hot products and equipment.

Maxwell’s Treats is a fourth-generation Australian gourmet food producer and part of The Treat Factory family. From our production facility in Gerringong, we make a wide range of quality jams, condiments, dressings, sauces and syrups, as well as private-label products for other Australian businesses.

About the role

The position offers approximately 30–38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, generally within our operating hours of 7:30am–3:30pm.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Weighing and measuring ingredients accurately

- Reading and following production recipes and instructions

- Assisting with the production of jams, condiments, dressings, sauces and syrups

- Working on the production line with hot products and equipment

- Filling, capping and labelling jars and bottles





- Boxing finished products and preparing orders for dispatch

- Lifting and moving ingredient bags, cartons and finished products

- Cleaning equipment and maintaining a clean, organised and safe workplace

- Following food-safety, quality-control and HACCP procedures

About you

We’re looking for someone who:

- Is reliable, punctual and ready to work

- Has a strong work ethic and takes pride in doing a job well

- Is comfortable with repetitive production-line tasks

- Has valuable attention to detail and can follow recipes and instructions accurately

- Is physically capable of lifting ingredient bags and cartons and being on their feet throughout the day

- Can work safely around hot products and equipment

- Understands the importance of cleanliness and food safety

- Works well as part of a small team

- Can maintain a steady pace while producing consistent, quality work

Previous food-production, commercial-kitchen, manufacturing or warehouse experience would be helpful, but it isn’t essential. Training will be provided to the right person.
