The Chance
We are seeking an experienced Production Coordinator/Planner to join our operations team. This is a key role that ensures production demand is effectively scheduled, inventory is managed, and customer orders are delivered on time. You will coordinate planning, purchasing, and expediting functions while driving efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement across the plant.
Key Responsibilities
In this role you will:
- Schedule and coordinate production orders using Excel/ERP/MYOB systems.
- Manage BOMs, part numbers, and master data to keep systems accurate and up to date.
- Monitor ERP dashboards and resolve material shortages or customer expedites.
- Liaise with purchasing, suppliers, sales, and production to meet DIFOT targets.
- Allocate and issue raw materials, ensuring accurate stock control and weekly cycle counts.
- Investigate performance gaps, delays,
and variances, lead root cause analysis.
- Support capacity and labour planning for manufacturing work centres.
- Contribute to safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with EXCEL / ERP systems (MYOB highly regarded) in a manufacturing/planning environment (preferably in the rubber, ceramic wear protection and/or slurry hose manufacturing environment).
- Strong background in production planning, purchasing, scheduling, inventory and manufacturing principles.
- Must be technically minded with the ability to understand technical drawings and interpret design parameters and Bills of Materials.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, adaptability and prioritising.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
