Edward River Council is seeking an experienced and passionate WHS & Wellbeing Coordinator to lead the delivery of workplace health, safety and wellbeing initiatives across the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to influence organisational culture, drive continuous improvement, and support a safe, healthy and resilient workforce.

35-hour week | 9-day fortnight

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Council's WHS and wellbeing framework.

Provide expert WHS advice to management, executive teams and committees.

Develop and implement workplace wellbeing initiatives with a focus on psychosocial health and wellbeing.

Coordinate WHS audits, inspections, training programs, emergency management planning and compliance activities.

Lead incident investigations and support the implementation of corrective actions and risk controls.

Monitor, analyse and report on WHS performance, trends and compliance outcomes.

Support Return to Work practices and injury management initiatives.





Foster a positive safety culture through coaching, consultation, engagement and education across the organisation.

What You Will Bring:

Tertiary qualifications in WHS, Risk Management or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.

Minimum three years' experience working with WHS management systems and continuous improvement programs.

Robust knowledge of WHS legislation, regulations and codes of practice.

Experience developing and implementing WHS and wellbeing policies, procedures and initiatives.

Demonstrated ability to influence organisational safety culture and drive positive change.

Excellent communication, relationship-building, consultation and stakeholder engagement skills.

Working with Children Check and National Police Check, or willingness to obtain.

Current Driver Licence.
