About the Role
Located at Milperra and reporting to the Retail Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the new product development pipeline for Midford’s retail school customers, coordinating the development of new school wear products and ensuring the accuracy of current sampling and design briefs. You will liaise primarily with our Retail Area Managers, Store Managers, and Head office production specialists and sit as a member of our dynamic and industrious retail team.
This position is Full Time, on-site position working from our Milperra office (no working from home option).
Duties/Responsibilities
Liaising with Area Managers, Store managers and externalcontacts to clarify current school uniform development requirements and update on their progress throughout the sampling and pre-production stages.
Work alongside the Graphic Design team to communicate new concepts in preparation for storyboards and other presentation tools for the area managers, retail team and production.
Preparing other samples and innovations for the area managers and retail team
Creating range summaries of existing Uniform ranges for retail Schools
Internally assessing and reviewing PD samples and other proposed goods before releasing to area managers and retail team for final presentation to the school customer.
Complete samplingrequests in a detailed and accurate manner
Update and maintain Product Development and Sampling Tracker, assessing delays and flagging concerns with the retail team
Maintain methodologies and standards for managing high-volume new product development in a busy, open-plan office
Work alongside retail and production teams to achieve schools launch requirements
Skills/Experience
Min. 1-2 years experience in Apparel Product Development, Production or Tertiary education (Fashion)
Microsoft Office, Excel
Garment construction knowledge is essential
Knowledge of fabrication & production manufacturing is highly regarded
