Defects & Maintenance Manager | Commercial Builder

With project values ranging from $8M to $35M, our experience includes iconic spaces such as Barangaroo House, Dolce & Gabbana and Cruise Bar.

As our project portfolio continues to grow, we're seeking a proactive and experienced Defects & Maintenance Manager to support our clients beyond project completion, ensuring defects are resolved efficiently and every project continues to meet the high standards Calida is known for.

The Role

- Conduct monthly inspections of active DLP sites and proactively identify defects.
- Manage defect rectification from identification through to client sign-off and close-out.
- Maintain accurate defect registers, documentation and reporting using digital systems.
- Build strong relationships with clients and act as the primary post-completion point of contact.
- Coordinate subcontractors and schedule works to minimise disruption to live venues.
- Identify, scope and quote additional works opportunities for existing clients.
- Provide regular reporting on defect status, client feedback and additional works pipeline.

The Requirements

- Experience in construction site management, project coordination, contract administration or a relevant trade background.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, defects management and subcontractor coordination.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple sites and priorities independently.
- Experience using Procore or similar construction management software.
- Current White Card and a valid driver's licence.
