Join a well-established and growing civil infrastructure contractor delivering high-quality projects across the utilities, energy, Power, electrical services and infrastructure sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Estimator to lead the estimating function, manage complex tenders and play a key role in the company's continued growth. Working closely with senior leadership, project delivery teams, clients and subcontractors, you will be responsible for producing accurate, commercially competitive tenders while mentoring and developing the estimating team.

This position offers genuine influence over tender strategy, business development and continuous improvement, making it ideal for someone looking to take ownership of a high-performing estimating department.

The Role

Lead and manage the estimating team, including mentoring junior estimators and coordinating offshore estimating resources.

Manage the end-to-end tender process, from opportunity identification through to submission and project handover.

Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and first-principles cost estimates.

Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.

Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work and commercial documentation.

Prepare and review construction methodologies, tender program and non-priced submission criteria.

Conduct pricing reviews and obtain internal approvals prior to tender submission.

Attend client meetings, pre-tender briefings,



and site inspections where required.

Maintain tender registers, estimating documentation and reporting systems.

Support business development by identifying tender opportunities aligned with strategic objectives.

Collaborate with project teams to ensure a seamless handover of successful tenders.

Champion HSEQ standards and promote continuous improvement across estimating processes.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience as a Senior Estimator or experienced Estimator within civil construction, infrastructure, utilities, or related industries.

Strong knowledge of quantity take-offs, tender preparation, and first-principles estimating.

Demonstrated leadership experience managing or mentoring estimating teams.

Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to identify and manage project risks.

Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement, and tender documentation.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

High attention to detail with exceptional organisational and time management abilities.

Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline are preferred but not essential.
