We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially focused Financial Analyst to support our Mergers & Acquisitions, Procurement and Property functions. Reporting to the Manager, Mergers & Acquisitions, this role provides financial modelling, analysis and reporting that helps drive strategic initiatives and operational improvements across the Group.
About the role
This is a broad and varied full-time position that will see you working on business development opportunities, acquisitions, commercial analysis and strategic projects across the organisation. You will partner with stakeholders across multiple business functions, providing insights and recommendations to support informed business decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting business development projects by undertaking financial modelling and analysis for acquisitions, brownfield & greenfield opportunities;
- Assisting in the preparation of Board reports, briefing packs, term sheets and offer presentations;
- Maintain Cura’s acquisition pipeline, including research of target businesses and industry reviews;
- Assisting in the due diligence of acquisition targets. Identifying business risks and recommending mitigation strategies;
- Assisting in the review of Sale & Purchase Agreements and ancillary transaction documents;
- Supporting the integration of acquired businesses;
- Monitoring, analysing and reporting on commercial arrangements across the Group;
- Project & cost management across the Group’s brownfield & greenfield development projects;
- Supporting management of the Group's property lease portfolio;
- Reviewing property costs and lease obligations;
- Analysing procurement spend and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
About you
- CPA or CA qualification
- Degree qualification in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an analytical, commercial or professional services environment
- Advanced Excel and Power BI skills
- Strong financial modelling and analytical capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- A proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
