Salary Package starting from $115,723.09
About the role
Responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing automotive electrical systems across the City’s fleet, ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
Duties
Key responsibilities include:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain automotive electrical and electronic systems across fleet vehicles, plant, and equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and software.
- Install and maintain electrical accessories and safety systems (e.g. radios, cameras, lighting, telematics).
- Support preventative maintenance programs and ensure compliance with WHS, Australian Standards, and manufacturer requirements.
- Respond to breakdowns, complete emergency repairs, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Provide technical advice, support apprentices as required, and perform other duties consistent with the role.
Who we are Looking for:
To be considered for this position, you will need:
- Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology (AUR30320) or equivalent trade qualification, or relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience in automotive electrical diagnostics and repairs across a range of vehicles and plant
- Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
- Competent in the use of diagnostic tools and electrical testing equipment
- Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team
- Current satisfactory National Police Clearance
- Current WA “C” Class Driver’s Licence
