Due to expansion of services offered by Care to Inspire to Sydney Metro areas /Wollongong/ Central Coast, we are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our dedicated team.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting clients with personal care, daily living activities, and community participation
- Making and attending to medical/allied health appointments.
- Implementing individualised support plans to empower and enable clients to reach their goals
- Facilitating social, recreational, and educational activities to promote independence and wellbeing
- Advocating for clients and collaborating with other different stakeholders.
- Maintaining clear and factual shift notes, records and documentation.
- Ensuring a safe and nurturing setting for all clients
What we're looking for
- A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities.
- Relevant experience in the disability support sector
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in the disability support sector
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
- The ability to work as part of a team and independently
- A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support/Disability
- Current and valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current and valid Working with Children Check
