Our client is seeking a CPA or CA-qualified skilled to join an established Rockhampton accounting firm. This position offers a significant leadership opportunity with a defined pathway to practice management and, for the right candidate, future equity participation or buy-in.

We are looking for an experienced and driven professional who can take ownership of a client portfolio, provide outstanding service, and guide our team to success.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage a portfolio of clients, delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality outcomes.
- Lead, coach, and mentor team members to achieve individual and collective goals.
- Oversee workflow, budgets, invoicing, and reporting.
- Develop tailored solutions and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and firm standards.
- Identify and resolve issues promptly while managing risk and deadlines.
- Drive productivity, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.

Requirements

What our client is looking for:

- CPA-qualified (or equivalent CA).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Experience in a comparable accounting or finance role.




- In-depth knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax compliance requirements.
- Xero experience is preferred, but not essential.
- Proven management and leadership experience in professional practice.
- Strong technical knowledge with the ability to devise solutions for clients.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and committed to professional growth.
- Ambition to step into a broader practice management role and build a long-term career.
