Remuneration:

$46.70 p/hr + Super + NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)

Your part in our UnitingCareteam

The Job Coachis responsible forsupporting the achievement ofhigh qualityemployment outcomes for young people with a disability through delivery of UnitingCare's Project SEARCH Transition-to-Work Program.

The Project SEARCH program is a unique, business-led, one-year employment preparation program that takes place entirely at a Host Workplace.This role will see you:

Developeffective networksand partnerships bothinternally and externally with all Project SEARCH stakeholdersthat willsupport the achievement of quality client outcomes

Work inpartnership with the leadership team and host sites, developinga range of
internships designed to teach Interns competitive and marketable skills that
are transferrable to jobs within the community

Work with the leadership team toidentify,assessand select eligible young
people with a disability toparticipatein the Project SEARCHprogram

Complete a range of assessments todetermineInterncapacity, support
requirements and areas for skill development

Provide employment preparation training and a range of vocational and non-
vocational interventions toassistInterns to manage employment related
barriers and developtheirskills

Provide individualised on-the-job support to each Intern during the internship
rotation

Achieve Job Placement Key Performance Indicators by undertaking employer
engagement activities to secure post program employment opportunities

Build andmaintainrelationships with follow on services such as Disability
Employment Service providers toassisteach intern transitionin toopenemployment

What makes a difference for us?

Certificate IV in Employment Services, Disability Services,



CommunityServicesor other relevant qualification(or lesser formal qualification with experience in asimiliarrole)

Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements, as well as undergo national criminal history check and functional assessment

Demonstratedexperience in successful, culturally sensitive case management and planning practices related to people with a disability

High levelwritten and verbal communication skillsdemonstratedby the ability to relate well to all people

Ability to work effectively and constructively across a range of stakeholders, including the business sector, communitymembersand organisations.

Existing, robust connections within the sector, capable of opening doors and securing post program employment opportunities for Interns.

Demonstratedunderstanding of the NDIS environment, funding and reporting models, service delivery models, and quality service frameworks.

Demonstratedunderstanding of key legislation at the Federal and State levels thatimpacton service delivery for Disability and Employment Services.

Current Driver's Licence, Positive BlueCard & NDIS Worker Screening Check and First Aid Certificate
