About the role
Join the APC Assessment Team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of pharmacy in Australia. This is a part time (0.6 FTE) fixed term appointment for 12 months.
As an Assessment Pharmacist,
you will contribute to developing high-quality assessments that support the registration of pharmacists and help ensure the profession continues to meet the needs of our Australian communities. Working as part of a collaborative Assessment team, you will apply your clinical expertise to develop, review and validate assessment content that reflects contemporary pharmacy practice and accurately assesses the knowledge, skills and professional judgement required for protected and effective practice.
If you’re looking for an opportunity to apply your practice experience in a new and rewarding way, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while staying connected to patient care.
The APC recognises the value of diversity and inclusion, and we encourage people of all abilities, gender identities, and cultural backgrounds to apply, particularly people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage, and those who may experience diversity or disability related barriers in securing employment.
Who should apply
We're looking for experienced pharmacists who enjoy applying their clinical expertise in new ways, have a passion for quality and continuous improvement, and are motivated to contribute to the future of the pharmacy profession.
We particularly value pharmacists who remain actively engaged in direct patient-facing practice and are committed to maintaining that connection while working with APC. Your ongoing clinical experience helps ensure the assessments we develop remain authentic, contemporary and reflective of real-world pharmacy practice.
Whether your experience is in community, hospital or another area of pharmacy practice, we're looking for pharmacists who bring current, everyday practice experience, sound professional judgement and a willingness to learn.
While experience in assessment or education is beneficial, it is not essential. We'll provide the necessary training and help you develop your skills in assessment. We're looking for experienced practising pharmacists who bring current patient care experience, sound professional judgement, critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
