We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor / Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day operational requirements for an Australian owned and wholly locally operated Transport provider of contract logistics services.
You will be the first point of contact for the client and lead the site operations team (particularly Schedulers and Allocators). Your focus is ensuring the safe, timely and cost-effective transport of products while maintaining high standards of service, compliance and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily fleet allocation and dispatch to maximise vehicle utilisation
- Monitor pick-ups and deliveries to ensure targets and client service standards are met
- Lead and support Schedulers and Allocators
- Ensure full compliance with fatigue management, NHVR requirements, safety legislation and company policies
- Investigate incidents, accidents and injuries and action corrective measures
- Maintain accurate records for audits and complianceEnsure programmed fleet maintenance is completed on time
- Achieve budgeted financial targets and provide accurate weekly, monthly and YTD reports (financial and operational)
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in transport or logistics operations
- Strong leadership, customer service and problem-solving skills
- Solid OH&S; values and attention to detail
- Effective time management and ability to multi-task in a quick-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
