Governance and Executive Support Officer

Saints Catholic College is seeking an experienced and highly organised Governance and Executive Support Officer to provide confidential executive support to the Business Manager and Head of College while playing a key role in the College's governance, risk, compliance and administrative functions.

This is a diverse and rewarding position suited to someone who enjoys working across governance, executive administration, records management, human resources administration and continuous business improvement. You'll be an integral member of the leadership support team, helping ensure the College operates efficiently, remains compliant and continues to deliver outstanding service to our students, staff and stakeholders.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Business Manager and Head of College, you will be responsible for delivering high-level executive support while coordinating a broad range of governance, compliance and administrative activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Providing confidential executive and administrative support to senior leadership.
- Coordinating governance, risk and compliance documentation, registers and reporting.
- Maintaining the College's policy, procedure and document control systems.
- Supporting governance meetings through agenda preparation, minute taking and follow-up actions.
- Assisting with internal audits, compliance monitoring and risk management activities.




- Supporting the review and continuous improvement of organisational policies, procedures and business processes.
- Maintaining HR administration systems and employee compliance records, including Blue Cards, qualifications and employment documentation.
- Managing organisational records and document management systems.
- Assisting with front office operations during peak periods and staff absences.
- Providing administrative support for College events, tours and stakeholder engagement activities.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be a proactive and professional administrator with exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail.

You will demonstrate:

- Experience in an Executive Assistant, Executive Officer, Governance Officer or similar senior administrative role.
- Outstanding organisational, planning and time management skills.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to prepare professional correspondence, reports and meeting documentation.
- Experience preparing agendas, board or committee papers and taking accurate meeting minutes.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional document and records management skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build productive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Sound judgement, initiative and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion.




- A commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence.

Highly Regarded

- Experience in governance, compliance or quality management within education, not-for-profit or other regulated industries.
- Experience with policy development, document control, records management or governance frameworks.
- Experience supporting executive leadership teams, Boards or governance committees.
- Knowledge of human resources administration and compliance requirements.
