Monday to Friday - Day Work - No Public Holidays.

The Role

The CHaPS support families as they transition into parenthood, enhancing parental confidence and capacity, and providing information and services focused on building relationships between children and parents/care givers.

- Nursing Care: assess, plan, implement and evaluate health care in collaboration with individuals/groups, families and communities.
- Teamwork: interact effectively with clients’ families and other professionals to facilitate the provision of optimum child-centred health care.
- Excellence in Practice: active involvement in maintaining and continually improving the quality of patient/client care. This may include participation in research and evidence-based practice.




- Learning Culture: identify and meet client goals in partnership with clients and their families/significant others.
- Actively participate in and contribute to the organisation’s Quality & Safety and Work Health & Safety processes, including in the development and implementation of safety systems, improvement initiatives and related training.

You will need:

- Current knowledge of, and the ability to apply nursing principles, procedures and practices in the delivery of client care in child and family health nursing and in line with legal requirements and the NMBA National Competency Standards for the Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrated sound knowledge of the principles of primary health care and the ability to apply these in child and family health nursing.
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills, including written skills and the ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team workplace.

Details of appointment

Permanent part time, day worker position, working 15.2 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Location

North West, Tasmania

Salary

$80,524 to $109,175 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

Access to the Grade 4 salary range $102,439- $109,175 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification
