Position
Due to continued growth, an opportunity has become available for an experienced Passive Fire Technician to join the Brisbane team. This hands‑on role will see you carrying out installation, inspections, maintenance and rectification works across a variety of commercial sites, ensuring buildings remain compliant with Australian Standards and fire safety regulations.
Responsibilities will include:
- Installing, inspecting and maintaining passive fire protection systems
- Conducting compliance inspections and identifying defects
- Carrying out repairs and rectification works to passive fire systems
- Completing service reports and compliance documentation
- Liaising with builders, contractors and property managers on-site
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to Australian Standards
Candidate
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the passive fire industry and a solid understanding of compliance requirements. You will take pride in producing quality work, enjoy working independently, and have strong communication skills.
The key attributes of an ideal candidate would include:
- Experience as a Passive Fire Technician or within the fire protection industry
- Knowledge of passive fire systems including penetrations, fire‑rated walls, ceilings and fire doors
- Understanding of Australian Standards including AS1905 and AS4072
- QBCC Licensing
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- White Card
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
