The Brendale site plays a key role in delivering these outcomes.
About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Quality Control Officer to join the team in Brendale. This role is responsible for ensuring finished products meet required quality standards through regular inspection and testing.
Shift Pattern:
This role operates on a rotating 3-week roster:
- Week 1: Day Shift - 6:00am to 2:00pm
- Week 2: Afternoon Shift - 2:00pm to 10:00pm
- Week 3: Night Shift - 10:00pm to 6:00am
Pay Rates:
- Day Shift - $40.43 per hour
- Afternoon & Night Shift - $46.79 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with site policies
- Conduct offline quality checks on finished products at minimum 4-hour intervals
- Use measuring equipment such as vernier calipers and height gauges
- Perform visual inspections on products ranging from 150ml bottles to 20L containers and caps
- Accurately record measurements and calculate averages on test sheets
- Identify defects and quarantine non-conforming products
- Work independently to complete all required testing within shift timeframes
- Adhere to GMP (Positive Manufacturing Practice) standards
- Perform general cleaning duties as required
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a quality control or inspection role
- Experience in food or manufacturing environments preferred
- Background as a line operator, packer, or similar role (plastics experience advantageous)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously
- Good initiative and problem-solving skills
- Physically fit and capable of manual tasks
Requirements:
- Must hold a valid driver's licence and have reliable transport
- Full working rights in Australia are essential
Induction:
- Completion of the VIP Brendale Induction is required prior to commencement
- Conducted on-site (approx. 1.5 hours including site walkthrough)
Uniform & Site Rules:
- Steel cap boots and high-visibility shirt must be worn (no sleeveless tops)
- Strict adherence to GMP policy: no jewellery, food, bags, or mobile phones in production areas
Breaks:
- Morning tea: 10 minutes
- Lunch: 30 minutes
