As a Housing Support Officer at Mareeba Community Housing Company Ltd, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality support services to individuals and families to sustain their tenancy. This full-time position is based in Atherton and will require travel to outer regions as part of our SHS team.

What you'll be doing

- Provide early intervention services to individuals and families to maintain tenancies and avoid entering homelessness
- Conduct assessments and develop individualised support plans with clients
- Provide practical support to help clients develop financial and independent living skills
- Liaise with relevant government agencies, community organisations and stakeholders to coordinate support and referral services
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of our SHS services

What we're looking for

- Experience in the community services, housing and homelessness sector/ real estate industry




- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving and case management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in using software and client management systems
