As one of Australia's leading veterinary hospital networks, SASH continues to grow, innovate and invest in the people and systems that support our teams. Following the l in-house transition of our payroll function and the recent go-live of Dayforce Payroll, we are now seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead the next phase of our payroll journey.
The Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a payroll function that has recently undergone significant transformation. You will be responsible for delivering accurate, compliant and efficient payroll services across our growing network of specialist and emergency hospitals. More importantly, you'll be the driving force behind optimising our Dayforce configuration, improving payroll processes and becoming the trusted subject matter expert for payroll across the business. You will act as the face of payroll for our hospital network, building strong relationships with leaders and employees while ensuring an exceptional payroll experience for every team member.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end payroll function across the SASH network.
- Optimise and continuously improve the Dayforce Payroll configuration following implementation.
- Drive payroll process improvement, automation and system efficiencies.
- Serve as the internal expert for payroll governance, compliance and best practice.
- Provide expert interpretation and guidance on our Award (we only have the 1).
- Partner closely with People & Culture, Finance and operational leaders to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
- Manage payroll audits, reporting and legislative obligations.
- Develop payroll capabilities, documentation and controls that support future growth.
- Build trusted relationships across the organisation and become the go-to person for all payroll-related matters.
About You
You are a payroll leader who enjoys improving systems, simplifying complexities and delivering exceptional service.
You will bring:
- Significant end-to-end payroll management experience within a complex, multi-site environment.
- Strong Dayforce Payroll experience, ideally including implementation, optimisation or configuration activities.
- Deep understanding of Australian payroll legislation, compliance requirements and award interpretation.
- Experience managing payroll transformation, process improvement or systems projects.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
- The confidence to influence, educate and partner with leaders across a growing organisation.
