Be the hands-on Heavy Diesel Mechanic behind a modern fleet, based out of Rocklea, Brisbane!

Our client is seeking a qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic to own the servicing and maintenance of a modern fleet of refrigerated vehicles — split between a well‑run depot and mobile servicing on the road across SEQ. This is a hands‑on, solo role in the workshop, working closely with a supportive depot and management team. About the role

We're looking for a qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic to run servicing at our Rocklea rental depot — a hands‑on role split between depot‑based work and mobile servicing across SEQ. You'll be the go‑to mechanic on site, working closely with the depot and management team, with a fully‑equipped service vehicle for jobs out at customer locations.

This is a new position for Rocklea — historically servicing has been handled by third parties, so you'll be the first dedicated mechanic on the ground, setting up how it's done. It's a solo role in the workshop day‑to‑day, but you won't be working in isolation — you'll be closely connected to the rest of the depot team and management.

Your responsibilities

- Conduct all servicing and maintenance of the fleet, both at the depot and out on customer sites
- Carry out mobile servicing and repairs across SEQ using a fully‑equipped, company‑supplied service vehicle
- Get hands‑on with servicing heavy vehicles in the workshop




- Keep on top of workflow and scheduling across depot and mobile jobs so nothing falls through the cracks
- Ensure vehicles are maintained to a high standard, wherever the work is carried out
- Keep the workshop clean, safe, and well‑organised
- Work closely with the depot and management team, even while running the servicing side solo

What we're looking for

We're seeking individuals who:

- Are a qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic (Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology)
- Are comfortable working independently — you'll be the only mechanic on site — while staying connected to the wider team
- Take pride in high‑quality workmanship and presentation
- Are organised, proactive, and genuinely hands‑on with the tools
- Have solid problem‑solving and time management skills
- Hold a valid driver's licence and are confident managing their own schedule while mobile
