Global Disability & Community Services is seeking a compassionate and culturally respectful Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Support Worker to support an Indigenous NDIS Participant.

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by providing support that recognizes the importance of culture, identity, family, community connection, and personal choice.

We are looking for someone who can build a genuine relationship with the participant and provide support in a way that is respectful, empowering, and aligned with their individual goals and preferences.

About the role:

- Provide person-centred disability support
- Support community participation and meaningful activities
- Encourage independence and confidence




- Assist the participant to maintain significant cultural and community connections
- Build a trusting relationship based on respect, understanding, and dignity

About you:

- Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants are strongly encouraged to apply
- Experience in disability support
- An understanding and respect for Indigenous culture, values and community
- Tertiary Qualifications are not essential but desirable.

Requirements:

- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport
- Commitment to providing safe, respectful, and quality support
