About this opportunity

Wellways is excited to offer the position of Support Worker, this role will suit someone who enjoys interacting and supporting our participants with daily activities. In this role you will work on the front line of our Consumer Directed Services, delivering a wide range of services to support participants activities of daily living such as personal care, domestic assistance, continence management, feeding and mobilising. This role requires you will work closely with the person to ensure their individual needs are met. Support Workers are the front line of our Consumer Directed Services programs, providing consumers with the personalised support to assist our participants to live meaningful and fulfilling lives. Your varied day may include providing support with activities of daily living such as companionship, transport, shopping, meal preparation, domestic assistance and medication management.

Required qualifications and experience

- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services or related fields (an advantage but not mandatory) or relevant experience
- A current valid Driver's License and a registered, insured vehicle
- Satisfactory Police Records Check [less than 12 months old]
- NSW Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate

Wellways Job Description Summary

As a CDS Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing Wellways support services to ensure participants are supported to live a fulfilling and meaningful life in the community. This position will be working across Wellways teams and with various external stakeholders which include the NDIA, other disability service providers, families, and health professionals within the circle of participants.
