Due to growth in our business, we have an opening for 2x permanent full-time Locomotive Drivers to join our team in Mackay, Queensland.

Due to growth in our business, we have an opening for 2x permanent full-time Locomotive Drivers to join our team in Mackay, Queensland.

About the role

As one of our successful candidates, you will be part of our valued team responsible for train services throughout Queensland. The incumbents will be customer focused with a safety always mindset.

You will need the ability to

- Undertake Watco train services with a customer focused mindset.
- Pass a Category 1 Rail Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screen.
- Ensure compliance with HSEQ policies and procedures.




- Maintain excellent relationships with all stakeholders.
- Undertake travel, shift work and work away from home temporarily and as when required.
- Ability to work 24/7 shift work including weekends.

What you will bring

- Current Locomotive Driver Qualification (Certificate IV) with recent driving experience within the last twelve (12) months.
- Current unrestricted Class C drivers’ licence.
- Experience with shunting and yard operations.
- Current SARC and Safework Rules and Regulations competencies.
- Current RCS and DTC knowledge/competencies.
- A safety always mindset.
- Fatigue management skills.
- Route knowledge ofregional Southwest, Central, Northern Queensland and Western Queensland regionswill be highly regarded.
