About the opportunity
As the Roster Administration Officer, you will be responsible for collaborating effectively within a small, supportive team to develop and manage rostered services. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality support to aged care and disability services clients living in the community.
This role involves a rotating on-call roster, with on-call responsibilities scheduled for 1 weekend per month, with a rostered day off during the week of a scheduled on-call weekend.
You will:
- Create daily and permanent rosters for Support Workers to ensure that services are delivered in an effective, accurate and client-focused manner.
- Maintain the rosters of our permanent home care workforce to ensure maximum efficiency in the utilisation of our staff, as determined by the organisation.
- In conjunction with Footprints staff, ensure that shifts are filled in a timely manner and in such a way as to ensure minimum disruption to clients and ensure maximum cost-effectiveness to the organisation.
- Contact clients via telephone to inform them of changes to their scheduled services and ensure the interaction with clients provides a positive experience and great customer service.
- Liaise with Service Leads,
Coordinators, and Case Managers to accommodate new and amended service requests.
- Process Support Worker completed visits and collate information for Payroll Services.
- Demonstrate experience working within the parameters of defined policies and procedures.
What you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in a rostering, scheduling, or similar role, in a small to medium enterprise.
- Positive knowledge and understanding of rostering best practices, relevant Awards and WHS conditions associated with rostering procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to be customer-focused and results-driven.
- Strong computer skills with an intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and previous experience with a rostering system.
- Intermediate knowledge of database systems.
- Good attention to detail, organisation and accurate data entry skills.
- A strong ability to manage the competing demands of a busy workplace, prioritise tasks and work to deadlines.
- Good level of written and verbal communication skills, together with the demonstrated ability to provide quality customer service to internal and external clients.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment, prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- A positive attitude towards people within aged care,
disabilities and Mental health services and the willingness to work within Footprints Values and Code of Conduct to meet clients' needs.
- Knowledge or experience using AlayaCare or any other rostering system (desirable).
Requirements:
- Current Queensland Class C Driver's Licence.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check or current Yellow Card and Blue Card.
