At embarc, our employment teams work alongside people with disability as they explore what's possible through meaningful, inclusive employment. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Inclusive Employment Team Leader to lead our IEA services across the ACT/Queanbeyan on a full-time basis, working Monday to Friday.
As the Team Leader, you will provide leadership, coaching and support to a team of Employment Mentors delivering the Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA). You will champion a person-centred, strengths-based approach, ensuring participants receive high-quality supports that help them overcome barriers, build confidence, develop skills and achieve sustainable employment outcomes.
Working closely with your team, employers and key stakeholders, you will support service quality, performance and participant outcomes while enabling a culture of inclusion, collaboration and continuous improvement. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team delivering Inclusive Employment Australia services and supporting people with disability to achieve their employment goals.
About the role
As a Team Leader you will be involved in the recruitment, training, managing and development of Employment Mentors, and continuously improve the delivery of services to ensure exceptional standards of service. In addition to this, you will:
- Maintain own caseload and allocate participant caseloads to Employment Mentors.
- Perform regular and effective case reviews to identify training gaps and provide tailored training and support to the team.
- Establish,
manage and maintain relationships with employers, specialist providers and community providers.
- Coordinate ongoing support and handovers for participants, ensuring employer resources enable participant competencies to be maintained.
- Ensure adherence to legislative requirements regarding disability, discrimination and WHS standards by all across the service.
About You
Ideally you will have:
- Experience in Employment Services sector and an understanding of the importance of lived experience and person-centred support.
- Experience leading and supervising a team with a person-centred approach and understanding of working with people with disability.
- Proven sales or marketing ability, including exceptional communication skills, high level negotiation skills, with the ability to be outcome focused and achieve performance targets.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders with capacity to influence them to take action.
- High standards of confidentiality and ethics to support inclusivity.
- Competence utilising a range of technical platforms/systems.
- Awareness of the vulnerabilities during job searching and the effects of unemployment.
- Have or a willingness to obtain NDIS Worker Check, NSW Working with Children Check,
ACT Working with Vulnerable People and a Valid Driver Licence.
