The Opportunity

Peabody is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join our team at Centurion Mine, located approximately 160 kilometres west of Mackay.

Reporting to the CHPP Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the successful ramp up and ongoing optimisation of the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP). Your focus will be on maximising plant performance, improving product recovery and driving operational excellence through technical expertise and continuous improvement initiatives.

Your Impact

- Provide technical support and advice to ensure the successful ramp up and ongoing operation of the processing plant.
- Partner with operational teams to deliver coaching and technical guidance that improves plant efficiency.
- Oversee onsite laboratory activities,



ensuring safe and effective support of operational requirements.
- Identify, develop and implement process improvement initiatives across the CHPP.
- Monitor, analyse and report on plant performance and recovery outcomes.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities through accurate operational data and analysis.
- Evaluate operational risks and opportunities and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, safety and operational excellence.

About You

You are a technically minded process engineering professional with strong operational experience and a passion for improving plant performance. You thrive in a dynamic environment, enjoy solving complex challenges and are committed to achieving safe and sustainable outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Tertiary qualifications in Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience across mineral comminution, beneficiation and solid/liquid separation technologies.
- Strong CHPP operational and technical experience.
- Knowledge of production and maintenance management principles.




- An understanding of control systems and process optimisation techniques.
- Solid analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- An uncompromising commitment to safety and risk management.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
