Build On Services is seeking Project Engineers (Civil | Structural | Electrical & Mechanical) to join a major renewable infrastructure project. Multiple positions are available across disciplines, offering an outstanding opportunity for engineers looking to contribute to large-scale, nation-shaping renewable energy developments.

Working within a high-performing delivery team alongside Project Managers, Site Managers, Design Consultants, and subcontractors, you will play a key role in coordinating construction activities, driving project outcomes, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Role Details

Location: Sydney, NSW & Melbourne, VIC | Civil | Structural | Major Renewable Infrastructure Project | Contract Role | Multiple Positions – Immediate Start Preferred | Electrical & Mechanical Works | FIFO Role + Meals | Flights & Accommodation may be provided depending on position

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate day-to-day engineering and construction activities across project work fronts (civil, structural, electrical, or mechanical, depending on discipline)
- Develop and manage short and long-term construction programs to support project delivery milestones
- Review design documentation and manage design coordination between consultants, subcontractors, and project teams
- Prepare,



review, and administer RFIs, technical queries, and engineering documentation
- Monitor subcontractor performance, ensuring works are completed in accordance with project specifications and contractual requirements
- Manage quality assurance processes, including inspections, test plans, and compliance documentation
- Drive project planning, procurement coordination, and resource allocation activities
- Assist in managing project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and variation assessments
- Coordinate with site teams to ensure construction activities are delivered safely and efficiently
- Support project reporting requirements, including progress reporting, risk management, and stakeholder updates
- Identify and mitigate project risks while implementing proactive solutions to maintain delivery objectives
- Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, project specifications, and client requirements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and key project stakeholders
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery processes

Skills & Experience

- 2–7 years' experience as a Project Engineer within the Australian construction industry (Civil, Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical discipline)




- Demonstrated experience delivering major infrastructure or renewable energy projects with Tier 1 or leading Tier 2 contractors
- Proven experience across renewable energy, utilities, power, or large-scale infrastructure developments
- Australian construction experience is essential
- Exposure to major renewable or infrastructure projects is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of construction methodology, sequencing, and project delivery processes
- Experience in subcontractor management, procurement, programming, and project coordination
- Sound knowledge of Australian construction standards, regulations, and relevant codes for your discipline
- Experience managing technical documentation, RFIs, quality records, and project reporting requirements
- Proficiency in project management and construction software platforms
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, remote project environments and manage competing priorities
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Structural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- Full Australian working rights
- Willingness and ability to work FIFO rosters
