Head of Risk, Compliance & Governance | The Star Brisbane

The Head of Risk, Compliance & Governance leads the delivery of risk and compliance reporting across The Star Brisbane, ensuring regulatory obligations are met through accurate, timely, and insightful reporting. The role partners with senior leadership, Boards, and external stakeholders to provide clear visibility of risk exposure, emerging trends, and compliance performance. It also oversees governance frameworks and committee operations, ensuring strong oversight and effective decision-making across the property. As a senior leader, this role drives continuous improvement, builds reporting capability, and embeds a proactive risk culture across the business.

What We’re Looking For:

- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in risk management, advisory, or consulting roles
- Tertiary qualification in law, finance, or a related discipline
- Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, standards, and best practice methodologies
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report writing skills, with the ability to present insights clearly to senior stakeholders
- Sound understanding of relevant regulatory requirements,



including the Queensland Casino Control Act and AML/CTF requirements
- Highly effective communication and influencing skills, with a proactive and adaptable approach in a fast-paced environment
