The Opportunity

Verve Partners is proud to be partnering with a respected regional engineering consultancy specialising in water and wastewater solutions. Based in Maitland, this agile and highly experienced team delivers end-to-end services—from investigation through to design and project management—across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects. As a Senior Engineer, you’ll work closely with leadership while enjoying genuine autonomy, owning projects and fostering strong client relationships. This is a role for someone who thrives in a boutique environment where your voice is heard and your expertise is valued.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the delivery of water infrastructure projects from concept through to detailed design and implementation
- Develop technical designs, reports, and documentation aligned with project requirements
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies




- Identify risks, raise concerns, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering team capability

What You Bring

- Civil Engineering degree or similar discipline.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status ideal.
- Circa 10+ years’ experience in water and wastewater infrastructure within Australia
- Expertise in areas such as pump stations, pipelines, treatment facilities, and water systems
- Demonstrated leadership experience and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel as required
