SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information,
while providing exceptional customer service.The Operations Agent may be required to rotate into any of the following operational departments:-Import Air, Import Ocean, Transcon, Export Air, Export Ocean, Customs Brokerage Operations.
Tasks and Duties
Ensure smooth and timely process of freight to meet our customers’ expectations IE:
- Prepare shipments.
- Monitor shipments.
- Send status updates.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system, per KPI’s and standards.
- Interact with our internal and external customers, arranging shipment deliveries, meeting customer service standards.
- Ensure accurate and timely shipment processing & data entry.
- Work to ensure internal and external compliance regulations are met.
- Look for best practices to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Action shipment or account queries, ensuring effective follow up is performed.
- Ensuring all emails are read, actioned, and responded to on the same day as received.
- Effective time management and prioritizing of assigned workload.
- Ensure all training is completed within the branch due date.
Qualification
- Global logistics industry knowledge an advantage but not a necessity.
- Positive and willing to help attitude.
- Proactive approach to problem solving.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Team player.
