About the Role

Perilya is seeking a motivated and safety-focused MCC (Mine Control Centre) Operator to join our operations team in Broken Hill. This critical role is responsible for monitoring and coordinating underground mining activities from the Mine Control Centre, ensuring the safe, efficient and productive movement of personnel, equipment and materials across the operation.

Working closely with mining supervisors, operators and technical services personnel, the MCC Operator plays a key role in maintaining real-time operational awareness and supporting mine production targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and coordinate underground mining activities through the Mine Control Centre.
- Operate and manage mine communication systems, tracking technologies and monitoring software.
- Maintain accurate records of personnel, equipment movements and production activities.
- Monitor ventilation, emergency response and safety management systems.
- Coordinate responses to alarms, incidents and operational disruptions.
- Communicate effectively with underground crews, supervisors and emergency response teams.
- Produce shift reports and operational summaries.
- Ensure compliance with site safety standards, policies and procedures.




- Assist with incident reporting, data entry and documentation management.

About You

- Previous experience in a mining, control room, dispatch, logistics or operational coordination setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High-level computer literacy and the ability to learn specialised mining systems.

- Sound problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- A proactive and team-focused approach.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

- Experience working in an underground mining operation.
- Familiarity with fleet management, personnel tracking and mine communication systems.
- Current NSW Driver's Licence.
- Experience with SCADA, dispatch or mine monitoring systems (desirable).
