The Role

Working within a production environment, you'll be responsible for the installation and assembly of electrical components on heavy vehicles.

Duties include:





- Installing vehicle wiring harnesses and looms

- Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and technical drawings

- Routing, terminating and securing electrical wiring

- Installing lighting, switches, control panels and electrical accessories

- Testing completed wiring installations

- Using hand and power tools safely and efficiently

- Maintaining quality workmanship while meeting production targets

About You

To be successful, you will have:

- Previous experience as a Trade Assistant in automotive, transport or heavy vehicle manufacturing

- Experience with automotive wiring, electrical assembly or wiring harness installation

- Ability to read wiring diagrams or electrical schematics

- Strong mechanical aptitude

- Experience using hand and power tools

- Excellent attention to detail

- Reliable work ethic and positive attitude

- Ability to work well within a team

- Current driver's licence and reliable transport

Highly regarded

- Auto Electrical experience

- Heavy vehicle, bus, truck or trailer manufacturing experience

- Electrical trade qualifications (completed or partially completed)
