Rate of pay $44.75 - $56.69 per hour + 25% casual loading
We are looking for Registered Nurses with, ideally, 2+ years previous hospital-based experience that have proven ability to interact and build rapport with patients and that are interested in learning in the medical imaging speciality. Previous Medical Imaging experience is highly desired but not essential.

About the Role
Our nurses are responsible for the provision of specialised nursing care for patients who present for diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures.
Nurses also provide support to medical imaging staff in the provision of safe care and assist the team with smooth flow of patients through our sites based at Deakin and Bruce.
The successful candidate will be provided with relevant on-the-job training. While desirable, previous Medical Imaging experience is not essential.
We are looking for nurses with solid clinical experience that can interact and build rapport with patients and who are interested in learning about medical imaging.
The duties of a Registered Nurse include:
- Prepping patients for scans (e.g. CT Coronary Arteries)
- Conducting pre-procedure workups for certain scans and interventional procedures (e.g. deep organ biopsies)
- Assisting radiologists with interventional procedures (e.g.
lung/kidney/liver biopsies/lumbar punctures, drainages, Myocardial Perfusion Scans, etc.)
- Providing post procedure care and supporting the recovery of patients
- Caring for patients from hospital settings and other facilities pre and post scans
- Responding to medical events, e.g. vasovagal and contrast allergies.
What we're looking for:
- Applicantsmusthave permanent work rights in Australia with no restrictions.
- Current APHRA Registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum of 2-year post qualification hospital-based experience.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and time-management abilities.
- A cooperative mindset with the ability to work autonomously within their scope of practice, once trained.
- An eagerness to learn.
