Big Scrub rainforest, and a mature certified organic Lychee Tree orchard, is prime farm land and provides a stunning setting for eco-tourism farm stay accommodations. THE ROLE We are seeking a skilled and reliable Landscape Gardener to join our team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in creating, developing, and maintaining the landscaped grounds of our farm stay accommodation. This position requires a robust eye for detail, a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship, and the ability to ensure all landscaping projects are completed in accordance with safety requirements and industry standards.

MAIN TASKS:

- Develop landscape plans by interpreting designs, selecting suitable plants and materials, and organising construction schedules.
- Establish landscape layouts and install both structural (hardscape) and planted (softscape) landscape features.
- Construct outdoor landscape elements including paved areas, retaining walls, fences, pergolas, trellises, ponds, barbecues, and garden fixtures.
- Prepare garden beds, seedbeds,



and planting areas to support healthy plant establishment.
- Plant and maintain trees, shrubs, hedges, flowers, bulbs, and other ornamental vegetation.
- Prepare lawn areas through soil preparation, grass seeding, or installation of instant turf.
- Install irrigation systems, including pumps, pipes, valves, and water meters, to meet landscape requirements.
- Test, service, and repair irrigation systems to ensure efficient operation and water distribution.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Select appropriate landscaping materials, plants, and equipment to meet project specifications.
- Ensure landscape construction is completed in accordance with design plans and quality standards.
- Calculate irrigation requirements and determine suitable hydraulic system parameters.
- Monitor the condition of newly installed landscapes and irrigation systems, undertaking adjustments where required.
- Maintain safe work practices and operate landscaping tools and equipment in compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
- Coordinate work activities to ensure projects are completed within scheduled timeframes and to the required standard.

RELEVANT QUALIFICATIONS: Certificate III in a highly relevant field is mandatory.

RELEVANT SKILLS:

- Paving, fencing, and retaining wall construction
- Soil preparation and turf establishment
- Operation of landscaping tools and equipment
- Reading landscape plans and drawings
- Time management and attention to detail

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

At least 1 year of work experience as a Landscape Gardener. Salary Expectation: $75,000 - $85,000 per annum Position type: Full-time role
