- Lead and coordinate daily site operations and subcontractors
- Manage site safety and maintain a strong safety culture
- Achieve construction milestones and deadlines
- Ensure compliance with Head Contract including progress claims, variations and correspondence
- Manage subcontract tender processes, including evaluation, negotiation and risk assessment
- Administer subcontracts including payment claims, invoices, variations and correspondence
- Maintain contract documentation and ensure compliance
- Reporting and forecasting
- Liaise effectively with all subcontractors and suppliers to maintain professional and reliable working relationships
- Oversee both structural and finishes trades, closely monitoring quality and defects
Skills and Experiences
- A minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Site Manager in residential construction projects, with exposure to both structures and finishes, delivering quality projects safely and on time
- Preferably degree qualified in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Project Management or related field
- Proficient in Procore, MS Word, MS Project, Excel, MS Access and Outlook
- Solid understanding of National Construction Code, Australian Standards and WHSE legislation. Compliance with all federal, state and local regulations is mandatory
- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, specifications, scope of work and construction programs
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong communication, interpersonal and coordination skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to changing project conditions
- Australian work authorisation is required for this position
