Rocky Point Sugar Mill is seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter to join our team on a full-time basis. Based in Woongoolba, Queensland, this role is integral to ensuring the protected and efficient operation of our industrial equipment.
What we're looking for
- Trade certificate (Cert III)
- Ability to work on 8 hour shifts (day, afternoon and night shift)
- Experience with conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, seal assemblies and other industrial equipment
Key responsibilities
- Install, maintain and repair equipment
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency repairs to maintain production schedulesique
- Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards, regulations and industry best practices
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members and operational staff to support mill operations
