Based in Smithfield and reporting to the Transport and Fleet Manager, we are currently seeking Dispatch Coordinator to join our team in the AM Shift (6:30am-2:30pm). You will be responsible for providing hands on support to the Warehouse team and regulate the strategic release of customer orders appropriately.
Role & Responsibilities
- Releasing daily orders digitally to the warehouse for processing
- Load planning, allocate daily runs and complete same day deliveries to Multigate Fleet team and 3PL
- Dispatch consignments via allocated freight carriers and 3PL
- Ensure shipping documentation is accurate and complete on all domestic and international shipments
- Provide assistance to customer service in tracking consignment enquiries and resolving customer and employee enquiries.
- Support warehouse operations as required, including pallet preparation, stacking, loading assistance and general dispatch activities.
- Book 3PL transport and maintain communication in daily booking changes
- Maintain strong, daily communication with stakeholders face to face or via email and phone as needed
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in a dispatch, transport, logistics or warehouse coordination role within a fast-paced operational setting.
- Strong understanding of basic warehouse picking processes, COR regulations and WHS legislation
- Displays an aptitude for problem solving and ability to work autonomously
- Exhibits solid interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong computer literacy, including experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP systems; experience with Dynamics 365 is desirable.
- Willingness to undertake hands-on warehouse and dispatch duties as required to support operational outcomes.
