Sydney Grammar School is an independent, non-denominational day school for boys. The Secondary School (Years 7–12) is located on College Street in the city of Sydney, and the two Preparatory Schools are located at Edgecliff (Kindergarten–Year 6) and St Ives (Preschool–Year 6).
About the Role
Sydney Grammar School is seeking to employ a highly motivated and qualified Class Teacher within the School’s Academic Department. This is a 12-month maximum-term, full time position (2027).
We are looking for passionate educators who would want to join our community of learners who enjoy teaching curious and enthusiastic boys among quality teachers, with a focus on collaboration and professional growth. We aim to keep building a culture of respect, integrity, and positivity as we make a difference in the lives of the boys and their families whom we nurture and inspire.
The Class Teacher has the main pastoral and academic responsibility for the boys in their class, alongside a host of specialist teachers and Senior Staff in support. They are normally the first point of contact for parents as they make connections and build trust between school and home. All teachers at St Ives are involved in the School’s co-curricular programmes throughout the year, which may include a commitment to Saturday sport.
