Frontline Recruitment Group – Tuggerah NSW

We have partnered with a leading Commercial Builder to appoint their next key player within their estimating team. We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join their established tendering team based in the Tuggerah office on the Central Coast.

Reporting directly to the Estimating Manager, you will play a key role as part of a collaborative, high-performing team, preparing competitive tenders and providing detailed cost insights across a diverse range of commercial projects.

In this role, you will utilise your commercial construction expertise to prepare detailed estimates, manage tender submissions, engage with subcontractors and suppliers, and support successful project outcomes from concept through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare cost plans, budgets, and feasibility estimates to support concept design and project planning.
- Develop detailed scopes of work for tender packages and subcontractor pricing.
- Conduct site inspections and liaise with clients, consultants, and end users to accurately assess project. requirements.
- Measure quantities and prepare comprehensive cost estimates for commercial tenders.
- Source and engage subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and support tender submissions.
- Review, analyse, and evaluate subcontractor quotations to ensure value, compliance, and commercial accuracy.
- Prepare detailed project cost estimates that accurately reflect the anticipated cost to deliver each project.
- Undertake risk and opportunity assessments for all tenders to identify commercial risks and value engineering opportunities.




- Assist in the development of construction methodologies and tender programmes in collaboration with the Estimating Manager.
- Prepare tender documentation, clarifications, and supporting information for submission review.
- Support project budgeting, procurement strategies, subcontractor selection, and commercial evaluations.
- Provide pricing and cost assessments for project variations as required.
- Deliver comprehensive handovers to project delivery teams for successfully awarded tenders.
- Contribute to tendering, business development, and other estimating activities as directed by the Estimating. Manager or Managing Director.

About You

- Proven experience in commercial construction estimating and tender preparation.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, cost planning, and project documentation.
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and scope requirements with accuracy.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Commercially minded with a proactive approach to delivering accurate and competitive estimates.
- A collaborative team player who takes pride in delivering quality outcomes.
