Salary Range: Base salary $65,074.87 per annum + applicable allowances

What You’ll Do:
As a Labourer in our Cairns Works Maintenance Team, you'll play a hands‑on role in maintaining and improving the infrastructure that keeps Cairns moving. Working across roads, drainage and civil maintenance projects, you'll help deliver high‑quality outcomes that support our community every day.
No two days are the same! From operating trucks, plant and equipment to undertaking concreting, drainage and general maintenance works, you'll be part of a team that takes pride in getting the job done safely, efficiently and professionally.
What We’re Looking For:
- Current MR Driver Licence
- General Construction White Card
- Working in Proximity to Traffic Awareness Parts 1 & 2 (or equivalent), or willingness to obtain
- Secondary education to Year 10 or equivalent, with sound literacy, numeracy and communication skills
- Experience undertaking civil maintenance or construction labouring activities such as truck driving, kerb and channel repairs,
footpath and concreting works, and drainage, underground, surface and structures.
- Ability to undertake routine vehicle inspections and identify defects.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety, environmental responsibilities and quality workmanship.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a small team.
- Flexibility to work early morning shifts when required.
