When I started ConnectEd Counselling and Consultancy (www.connectedcc.com.au), I wanted to build the kind of workplace I'd want to be part of.

A place where good psychology comes first. Where people enjoy coming to work, keep learning throughout their careers, and genuinely support one another.

Today, ConnectEd is much more than a private practice. Alongside our clinic in Graceville, we work with schools and organisations across Australia, provide supervision to psychologists, and deliver professional development to hundreds of psychologists, school counsellors and wellbeing professionals each year. We're also one of Australia's largest private providers of supervision for school psychologists.

We're now looking for another psychologist to join our team.

Whether you're an early career psychologist, working in schools and curious about private practice, or an experienced clinician looking for a new challenge, I'd love to hear from you.

In particular, I'd encourage school psychologists to apply. ConnectEd has strong roots in working alongside schools, and we genuinely value the unique skills school psychologists bring to private practice. A role that grows with you

There's no one "right" psychology career, and I don't think there should be one "right" role either.

Rather than recruiting someone to fit a narrow list of presentations, I'd much rather find the right person and shape the role around their strengths, interests and experience.

Your work could include:

- children, adolescents and families
- adult clients




- a broad range of presentations
- opportunities to develop your own clinical interests
- supervision and support as you grow in private practice
- opportunities over time to become involved in school consultancy, professional development, presentations or supervision.

One thing that's always been important to me is that we don't place a huge emphasis on the "type" of psychologist you are. Whether you're a General, Clinical or Educational & Developmental Psychologist, what matters most is the quality of your work and the relationships you build with your clients. We don't differentiate our client fees based on endorsement because we believe excellent psychologists deserve to be recognised for the work they do, regardless of the letters after their name.

If you're early in your career, I'd especially encourage you to apply. Supporting psychologists to develop their confidence and build careers they're proud of has been one of the most rewarding parts of building ConnectEd. Unfortunately we're not able to take on provisional psychologists.

You will need to be a registered psychologist and be able to work from our clinic in Graceville

Remuneration

I think it's important to be transparent about remuneration.

We offer both contractor and employee opportunities, depending on what suits you best.

Our contractor session rates (including superannuation) are guided by experience and capability:

- Early career psychologist: $148 per client session
- Developing psychologist: $159 per client session
- Experienced psychologist: $171 per client session

These rates are intended as a guide. When determining remuneration, we also consider your experience, the number of days or clients you'd like to work with, and any additional skills or expertise you bring to the role.
