About the Role
As our Spare Parts Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Parts Department, ensuring efficient operations and exceptional service to both internal and external customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing the Spare Parts Department
- Interpreting and identifying industrial, diesel, and heavy equipment parts and components
- Providing expert advice and support to customers and workshop staff
- Managing inventory, stock control, purchasing, and supplier relationships
- Preparing quotations, processing orders,
and overseeing invoicing
- Ensuring accurate parts identification and timely supply
- Monitoring stock levels and implementing effective inventory management strategies
- Driving continuous improvement within the department
- Mentoring and supporting team members to achieve high performance
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a Spare Parts Manager or senior Spare Parts Interpreter role
- Strong knowledge of industrial, heavy diesel, automotive, or heavy equipment parts
- Experience managing inventory systems and parts catalogues
- Proven leadership and people management skills
- Excellent organisational, communication, and customer service abilities
- Robust problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- The ability to prioritise workload and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- A current driver's licence (preferred)
