As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our Brisbane office.

About the Role

Working alongside experienced engineers and BIM managers, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of mechanical building services projects from concept through to construction and commissioning.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop technically while taking ownership of projects and building strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

- Design mechanical HVAC systems for a wide range of building types.
- Prepare concept, schematic, design development and construction documentation.
- Perform heating and cooling load calculations using CAMEL.
- Size and select air conditioning equipment, ventilation systems and associated plant.
- Design chilled water, VRF, DX, ventilation, smoke control and mechanical services systems.
- Prepare equipment schedules, specifications and engineering reports.
- Coordinate designs with electrical, hydraulic, fire, structural and architectural disciplines.
- Attend client meetings, design workshops and site inspections.
- Respond to RFIs and provide construction support during delivery.
- Review shop drawings and contractor submissions.




- Assist with commissioning and practical completion inspections.
- Ensure designs comply with the NCC, Australian Standards and project requirements.

About You

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–8 years' experience in building services consulting (preferred).
- Experience designing HVAC systems for commercial buildings.
- Sound understanding of the NCC and Australian Standards.
- Experience using CAMEL or equivalent load calculation software.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Current Australian Driver Licence.

Desirable

- Experience with NABERS, Green Star or sustainability initiatives.
- Experience with CFD or energy modelling.
- RPEQ registration or working towards registration.
- CPEng status or progressing toward Chartered status.
