Lead Florist – Sydney Fish Market

We’re hiring a talented and experienced Lead Florist for our store at the Sydney Fish Market who can lead a team, create an experience and loves service.

Hours of Work

Mayfarm is open 7 days a week. While we have a roster in mind, we’re open to shaping it with the right person.

- Busier trading days are typically Wednesday to Sunday, so availability across these days is critical
- Rosters will include two consecutive days off
- Typical shifts will be 8–9 hours long, between:
- 10am–6pm (Mon–Wed)
- 10am–7pm (Thurs–Sun)

Key Responsibilities

- Floral Design: Design and produce bespoke arrangements for customers, events and deliveries
- Team Management: Supervise and mentor the florist team, ensuring high quality workmanship
- Client Relations: Liaise with clients on large or custom orders
- Operational Oversight:



Ensure high standards of presentation and care for all floral products, and coordinate with the Chief Retailer on inventory and supply needs
- Team Work: Support weekend market setup and sales as needed

What You Need

- Minimum 3 years of floristry experience, including retail and event settings
- Proven ability to lead a team and inspire others
- Broad floristry knowledge and a robust creative portfolio
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Availability to work Wednesday to Sunday on a rotating roster

Remuneration

- Commensurate with experience, all awards, penalties and loading paid.
